It's tempting, and all too easy to come all the way out to Madrid for a weekend and see little more than the inside of a bar and Zidane's bald patch! You want to see some sights, but don't want to waste valuable drinking time doing it? Try the Henorita's private coach tour, and see some of Madrid's unique sites at your own pace, with a few panoramic pit stops (and maybe even lunch) on the way.
Your Henorita guide picks you up at your hotel, then gets you on your own private minibus/coach for a tour of your own making. Where do you want to go? Popular places include the Cathedral of Spanish, maybe world football, the Bernabeu Stadium (and dont forget Athletico Madrid's Estadio Vicente Calderón - You can drive right under the stand!). |
Maybe The Royal Palace (Palacio Real), The Prado, rated one of the world's greatest art galleries, The leafy Retiro Park, and the Plaza Mayor. Also try a spectacular ride in the "Teleférico": the cable car that takes you out west of the city with panoramic views of Old Madrid to the vast Casa de Campo Park.
Whether you want to just see places and move on, or actually spend more time at one place is your choice. Even if half the group fancy exploring, the other half can just wait for them with a beer or sangria at the nearest pavement cafe in the sun. Your guide will fill you in on a bit of history and give you plenty of ideas about what to do in the evening. You'll then be dropped back where you started, or a bar or restaurant of your choosing!
With the tour, we recommend a slap-up meal at one of Madrid's most famous restaurants from the Asturias region of Northern Spain. Famous for the delicious roast chicken (pollo a la brasa) washed down with cider, your guide will also order mouth watering other tapas and titbits. |

Or try one of Spain's best paellas in the cool Old Quarter just up from the Prado Museum. Wash it down with some tasty Spanish rosado and you'll be doing the authentic Mediterranean lunch.
